Artificial intelligence emerged as one of the biggest themes at Apartmentalize 2026, the National Apartment Association's annual conference, where nearly 11,000 multifamily professionals gathered to explore the latest industry trends and innovations. More than a quarter of the conference’s educational sessions focused on AI, highlighting its growing role across property management, marketing, leasing, and resident communications.
Rather than viewing AI as a future technology, many sessions emphasized practical, everyday applications that can help teams work more efficiently. From generating actionable property reports and assisting with resident communications to supporting marketing efforts and streamlining operations, AI is already becoming an integral part of how multifamily teams operate. As Tim, Dyverse’s CTO, put it: “What surprises me most isn’t what AI can do today. It’s the pace at which it’s evolving. Companies that integrate AI into their everyday workflows now will be the first to capitalize on every breakthrough that follows.”
As AI adoption continues to grow, the conversation is shifting from whether to use the technology to how it can be implemented effectively and responsibly. For multifamily marketers, AI presents new opportunities to streamline content creation, analyze campaign performance, personalize communications, and make faster, data driven decisions. When paired with human expertise and strategic oversight, these tools have the potential to improve both marketing performance and the overall resident experience.
